Ariz. - The Arizona Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants voted to accept the recommendation from an Administrative Law Judge to revoke the license of Karlyne F. Sanders, P.A.-C at its meeting in Scottsdale today. The Board had referred the case to Formal Hearing at the Office of Administrative Hearings after police arrested PA Sanders for writing fraudulent prescriptions and she entered a plea agreement to the charges
In other action, the Board re-elected Chairman Albert Ray Tuttle, P.A.-C and Vice-Chair Joan M. Reynolds, P.A.-C to those positions for 2006.
Also, the PA Board established a Standing Committee to Review Minor Surgical Procedures. Members selected by Mr. Tuttle to serve on the committee with him were Randy D. Danielsen, Ph.D., P.A.-C, who will chair the panel, Michael E. Goodwin, P.A.-C and Peter C. Wagner, D.O.
The Arizona Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants meets every three months at Board headquarters, located at 9545 East Doubletree Ranch Road in Scottsdale.
The ten Board members - who include four PA members, four physician members and two public members - are appointed by the Governor.
