Scottsdale,
Ariz. - It has come to the Arizona Medical Board‘s attention that an error in interpretation has led to the mistaken belief that one of the requirements to take the USMLE Step Three exam in Arizona was that students in residency programs had to first have an application for a medical license on file with the Arizona Medical Board. That is not a requirement. We have informed the FSMB of this error. Residency supervisors should contact students immediately and inform them of this situation.
Anyone who has submitted an application for an Arizona license and paid the fee in order to take the USMLE Step Three should contact the Board for a refund.
We apologize for any inconvenience.
