Ariz. - During its two-day April meeting, the Arizona Medical Board honored public member Dr. Ronnie R. Cox, Ph.D., for successfully completing a 368-day tour of duty in Iraq from December 2003 until December 2004. Dr. Cox holds the rank of Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves.
Board members gave Dr. Cox a plaque and a standing ovation. In accepting the honor, Dr. Cox said he was “very surprised and very appreciative.” Dr. Cox is a member of the faculty at Arizona State University‘s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. He began serving a five-year term on the board in July, 2000.
