Ariz. - During its two-day meeting in Scottsdale last week, the Board approved the candidates by acclamation.
The new Board Chairman is William R. Martin, III, M.D. � a Phoenix orthopedic surgeon who has been a member of the Board since 2002 and had previously been Vice-Chairman. Dr. Martin succeeds Robert P. Goldfarb, M.D., FACS as Chairman.
Named the new Vice-Chairman is Doug D. Lee, M.D., a Flagstaff anesthesiologist. Dr. Lee had served as the Board‘s Secretary the past two years.
Replacing him in the role of Secretary is Dona Pardo, R.N., Ph.D., one of four public members on the Board. A registered nurse in Tucson, Dr. Pardo fulfills the requirement that one of the public members be a nurse.
