Summary of Board Actions During its February 14-16, 2001 meeting, the Board voted to issue: One Suspension Two Surrender of License One Practice Restriction Three Decrees of Censure Sixteen Letters of Reprimand Three Probationary Orders One case was Referred to Formal Hearing Legislative Updates The Board voted to support the following bills:           SB1306 with amendments:  DISCIPLINARY ACTION RECIPROCITY           SB1310:  DISCIPLINARY ACTION RECIPROCITY The Board voted to support a portion of the following bill and oppose a portion of this bill:          SB 1315  PHYSICIAN STANDARD OF CARE The Board voted to oppose the following bills:          SB1199: FORMAL INTERVIEW INFORMATION ACCESS          SB1308: BOMEX MEMBERSHIP          SB 1422:  PHYSICIAN STANDARD OF CARE  The Board did not take a position on the following bill:         SB1208: MALPRACTICE SETTLEMENT NOTICE Substantive Policy Statements The Board approved a substantive policy statement outlining procedures for appealing an Executive Director action to the Board, specifically dismissals. The Board also approved an SPS which Delegated Authority to the Executive Director to refer cases directly to Formal Hearing. This is an amendment to the substantive policy statement, which previously allowed the Executive Director to only refer subsequent cases to Formal Hearing.
