The Arizona Medical Board (AMB)
is a state agency, responsible for licensing and regulating Arizona's
allopathic physicians (medical doctors - MDs). Note that other
agencies not affiliated with AMB are responsible for licensing and
regulating other types of physicians (Osteopathic [DOs], Naturopathic,
Homeopathic, etc.).
AMB also provides administrative support for the Arizona Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants, which licenses and regulates Arizona's Physician Assistants (PAs). |

Unlike services offered by private companies, it is also free of charge. The site, developed by the Arizona Medical Board, contains licensee profiles for allopathic physicians (MDs), osteopathic physicians (DOs), dentists, optometrists, naturopathic physicians, and physician assistants. (more information) The Arizona Medical Digest: A biannual publication of the Arizona Medical Board dedicated to providing timely information about the Board, its workings, and other items of interest to Arizona physicians. Pharmacies: Please note Physician Assistant profiles now contain supervising physician and prescribing authority information. New
Board Names: Other state medical boards may be accessed at AIM's "DocFinder"
